Full of flies in the middle of winter
We just moved into a new house. Actually, the house is quite old, but new to us. It belonged to my husband's great-grandparents for many, many years before they passed away. Right now, it's the middle of February. Needless to say, it's extremely cold outside, yet our house if FULL of flies! They are everywhere! I've been sucking them up the vacuum cleaner everyday (because they are dying all of the place). We are even finding dead flies in our beds! I've heard that there is some sort of connection between flies and the paranormal, yet we haven't seen or heard any ghost activity. What's going on?

I live in a converted barn, it housed animals, it has leaks in the foundation, around the posts, cracks in the least obvious places, the bugs want out of the cold, some of them are in hibernation and find that they can access the warm house somehow.

This isn't paranormal, not for here anyway. It's natural.

We spray,fog,vacuum,repeat,etc.. it really is an ongoing process. From Asian beetles to box elder bugs,to flies,to ants, any old structure will have openings into them for insects to enter.

Choices for you, exterminator, wait till spring and begin closing off the perimeter as best as you can, I would imagine that the house is in some kind of disrepair due to the Great grandparents.

Or you can believe that it could be paranormal and have investigators scour the home for a night or two and see what they have to say.I don't knock paranormal investigators,I just doubt the validity of ghosts and most things paranormal in general.

I'd go for the natural idea before looking for the supernatural.

When we were cleaning out my grandmothers old house it was the middle of winter also, and infested with flies. Come to find out there were multiple dead squirrels and mice in the attic.
