I would tell her that if she doesn't want to have sex than to tell her boyfriend that she just isn't ready right now. If he really loves her he will respect her opinion.

At 13 and 14 both teens are not ready for the emotional, mental and physical aspects of sex.

Pregnancy, std's and many more complications can arise.

I strongly suggest that both do not have sex, that she dumps him quickly, and tells and adult,a parent, teacher or youth worker if she attends a club.

At 13 and 14 boys and girls should be having fun with their friends, going to the cinema and attending school, not worrying over adult issues and problems.

Teenagers go through a transition, from childhood through the teenage years into young adult hood, one year ago she was still classed as a child!

Lots of teens have 'make shift' relationships, however the danger is practising to be an adult when your not ready.

I strongly suggest YOU tell a parent, before she has sex becomes pregnant or contracts a std.

You've come asking for advice because your concerned, the best possible course of action now is to help her by letting an adult know.

The question here should be when to START having sex. And the answer is: several years in the future.

I have to wonder how old you are that you have to ask this question. I've said it many times: NO ONE should be engaging in sexual intercourse until they are financially, physically and emotionally ready to have a child . You stepsister clearly fails on all three.

I'm wondering why a 13 yr old is even doing one on one dating! Where are you parents allowing this.

You should tell your step sister what I said. You can also say that she shouldn't have any type of sex until she is totally comfortable with the doing so and then only with someone that she has had a long term committed relationship with. At 13 this obviously isn't the case.

Another point, if this boy is pressuring her to have sex, then that's all he really cares about, he doesn't care about her. So she should be dumping him anyway. She is young and her life is ahead of her. She shouldn't risk it.
