I changed my name in my divorce papers, but did not have the time to change it on any other documents. It was my decision and my ex husband did not care one way or another. But now he is threatening me if I do not do it in a couple of weeks. Can he do that? It is very unpleasant to be pushed like this and I don't have the time and the money to do it. At first he agreed to pay for it but a few days latter he changed his mind. What should I do?

Your name is legally changed, so you are suppose to take the copy of the divorce paper work to the DMV and change it.

There is nothing he can do if you don't,

Also not sure in your area, but in GA it is free, no charge for name change
