Is there a difference between men and women salah
Assalaam alaikum brothers and sisters !

I want to ask is there any difference in offering salah when it comes to male and female bcoz some scholars say that there is difference and others say that women has to offer salah as male does. So I am confused. The most important question which comes to mind is what is the correct way of offering salah, is it hanafi way or shafai way or hanbali way etc. I am searching a lot online but the more I search the more I get confused bcoz different sites have difference of opinion. Please tell me the sunnah method of offering salaah, and also clarify if it's there any difference of offering salah between male and female?? Jazak allah khair

    Aslam O Aliakum,

There are four Imam's who interpreted the Salah Method according to their practice and understanding. It is not so important that you offer some Imam to offer the Prayer, Important thing is to offer the prayer at defined timing. In Pakistan most of the people follows Imam Abu Hanifa, may be due to the Ullamah who came to sub-continent had teaching by Imam Abu-Hanifa. Some imam says that there is no need to offer sunnah after fardh prayer therefore better understanding here is link OK Bukhari.
    Sahih Bukhari

The women method is different from male, this is due to hijab that women must protect their body during prayer, here are steps to pray:
    1. In Qiyaam don't put gap b/w feet, keep your ankel close
    2. Rais your hands till shoulders not till ear.
    3. After Takbir-Ullah place left hand under right hand and put hands at your chest.
    4. Then recite the salah and make the Rukhu as done by men
    5. Then Qiyaam and go to Sujood, some Imam used Rafah-Yadien but not by Abu Hanifa so go without rasing the hand again and again, but it depends on the Imam you follow.
    6. So In Sujood women do not need to rais their back, keep thigh close to leg and Belli to thighs and hand closer to ear, Elbo and hands must be attached to ground.
7.Make the other sujood in same way.
    8. In Tashahad (after sujood of 2nd rukkat) place your hand on thighs in such a way that tips of your fingers do not come to knees.
    9. Make the rest of the prayer and end with Salam on both shoukders.

These were some differences in prayer methods b/w male and female. For further details read the BUKHARI from above given link and understand many other issues from there.

Please remember me in your prayers, and I pray to Allah that if I said anything wrong Allah forgive me.
