    Moving a trailer with lawn tractor
    Has anyone moved a trailor with there lawn tractor. I have a Craftsman 18 HP tractor and I need to move a trailoe(18foot) around my yard. Can it be done.

    Lawn tractors have very low gearing. It is much like a truck the tractor has ratings also. Will it do it? You bet. Is it good for it? Probably not.

    I move my 28 ft. with a hand mover so if I can do that I am sure a mower could.

    Oh yes... a transaxle will move more then that... so no worries..
    As long as the drive belt doesn't start to slip...
    I have with a old one (was just a 3 speed transaxle) pulled well over 400 pounds worth on it... and it had the original 8hp engine on it... (small trailer, hauling rock around for the driveway)

    You bet. I move Box trailers with and OLD and I mean old 11 hp engine on a 5 speed transaxle and it moves it in 5 gear with no problems but just a hint use a lower gear like 1-3 to keep from stripping the higher gears. ;)
