Please pay more attention to posting guidelines. There is a Read First sticky in the Children forum (where this was moved from) that directs questions of a legal nature to this forum.

    This site may help:
Indiana Child Support Rules And Guidlines

But what are your questions and issues? We have several members knowledgeable in Family law, including someone from IN.

Maybe, maybe not. First, a birth certificate is a legal document. To sign one falsely is perjury. Second, depending on where you live and how old the child is, you may be stuck as the legal father.

Does this have to do with the child support issue you posted?

The man who signed the legal document can be held to be the legal father, and expected to pay child support.

He if he does not want to continue to be the father, will need to petition the court and it will be up to the court to determine if they will consider his request.

The length of time he acted as the father, may well have a difference.
