Can anyone answer this question about bleeding a Rad??
    Hi guys,

Hope this is an easy question that somebody can help me with.

I had some rad work done recently and all the rads are hot and working perfectly except one which is still cold. I know it works because it was not worked on and has always worked fine. I've let the air out and it is now to the point where water comes out. I assume there is an air bubble trapped in the pipe and needs to get out somehow ( just guessing though ).

    Here is the question:
Can I bleed an individual rad as much as I want or will this harm the system???

I am assuming that as I take water out, more water automatically goes into the system, but I don't want to assume incorrectly and find I've drained down the system more than I should.

    Any help appreciated!

    Thanks in advance - Phil

As long as the system is working correctly and you are running a pure water system there should be no harm in draining it.

Yes, you can bleed radiator individually, that is how I preffer it, providing there are bleeders at the radiators. Just be sure when it is all done the pressure is between 12 and 18 psi. Or tell the contractor to do it under warranty
