    I am leaving my husband and I am preganant, he claims to take custody of the babay w
    I am leaving my husband and I am pregnant, he is threating to take custody of the child upon birth because of financial standing, he is active duty airforce (only enlisted), I want to know his chances over mine since I work part time and go to school, I will be staying at home with my parents.

    The only difference money makes is the ability to hire a attorney.

    He may be able to get joint custody,

    Hun I was in this situation myself just a few years ago, He can not take Custudy from you as long as you are a fit and responsibale Parent , Don't let his threats cause you stress... My ex husband left me when I was 8 months pregnant , ANd I also had a 5 year old at the time, and lived with my parents , And the courts Gave me the majority of the Custudy.. I gave them no reason not too.. look into woman's Shelters some may be able too help you with Legal representation . And also my current husband is SSG in the army , And like he said too me , your hubby being a single father in the airforce , will put un do stress upon him and the airforce does not like that.. so your chances are very good and very likely that you will be able too keep your CHild.. most Judges like too keep the children with their mom's.. Unless there was an extreme Reason like abuse or something to that effect that was going on.. Which in your case is not You will be fine...
