    Statute of Limitations on Bad Debt Florida
    I have a judgement from 10/1998 for $1,335.00. A lawyer is now threatening to sell my two autos which are free and clear if I don't call him. What should I do? I really
    Don't want to pay the debt.

    When was the last time you paid any money at all toawrds this debt? That is the tie breaker question here and determines the SOL.

    There has been a judgment entered. I had to reread your question. Sorry.

    Has the judgment been renewed after 7 years? You'll have to contact the Clerk's Office to find this out. If it has not been renewed, then the attorney can't do anything with a worthless piece of paper in his hand. If the judgment has been renewed then the attorney can proceed with collecting on it.
