How to purchase abandoned houses
I live in Philadelphia, PA and my property is surrounded with abandoned residential properties. I would like to purchase one these properties and fix it up. Many of my family members are in need of housing. I am trying to help, but I need assistance. I have found deed information on BRT Website: Welcome to the Board of Revision of Taxes website. Please advise me on ways to contact the property owner and possible obstacles that I may encounter.

Go to the Tax Office/Assessor, find out who owns the properties, contact that person/company and see what the procedure is to purchase the property. If it's a tax problem the property will be auctioned. According to the site you provided the properties you are interested in have outstanding taxes and WILL be auctioned. |
