I recently got my period, about a year ago. In the time following up until now I have had it maybe four times. The doctor said being irregualr within the first year or so is normal, but I haven't had it in a little more then three months.

Is this normal?

Everyone is different, I was the same way when I first got my period it was irregular up until I was around my 20's.. I was told to take birth control but I didn't want to so it lasted awhile till I got older then my period came every month, sucks.

Yes, honey it is perfectly normal. It takes a while for your body to make and keep the amounts of hormones necessary to have a regular monthly cycle. Remember too that not all women have cycles every month. ;)
