    Wiper switch install
I am attempting to remove/install this wiper switch assembly in my 1991 F150. (Please see fig 1).

I am somewhat of a clutz, so if anyone could give me a bit of advice I would certainly appreciate it. First, how

Would you remove the knob, (Please see fig 2). Next, how do they expect you to get behind all this mess

(Please see fig 3) and chase the proper wires to unplug and replug. I have tried to find a way to remove the

Lower dash panel to provide better access, but can find no way to remove it without breaking it. Help!!

Thank you in advance for any advice:confused:

I appears to me, you might be able to take a small screwdriver and pry out, from the front, the panel the switch is mounted to. It then would be a simple matter of removing the switch from the connector. I doubt you have to remove and replace all the "innards" shown.

Nice job of providing the pictures!

Thank You, The panel that appears to hold the switch is just a molded indentation in the main lower panel. How do you think I should remove the lower dash panel. Is it attached with clips? Also How would I remove the knob from the switch? I find no screw to hold it on the shaft, do I just pull it off.

Many times there is a release mechanism, where you squeeze it or push stiff spring wire into a hole designed to release the knob and shaft.
