Dear All

I do not know what does this mean. I am always confused in this and I really do not know about the basics of these things.

I am working in a computer related Company but I tried a lot to learn about these but in vian. And did not Understand it so far.

So I would appreciated a lot if some one can guide me throgh these confusing basics .

I do not know why I am still confused

Can you please tell me the method of testing a USB Bluetooth Dongle

Like we test it in kbps or mbps or according to seconds or time or according to file size or what ? Can u help?

A bit is the smallest piece of information a computer stores. It has 2 possible values; 0 and 1. A byte is a considered a computer "word" and comprises 8 bits. The K stands for kilo which means 1000 times, the M stands for mega, which means 1,000,000 times (or 1000x1000).

Ergo a Kilobyte or KB is 1000 bytes. And a megabye is 1,000,000 bytes. The ps stands for per second and denotes the speed that bytes are sent over a connection.

Try finding a benchmark testing tool that test the speed of a bluetooth connection. Bluetooth.com might have them or try DLink or Kensington who make them.

Can u please guide me about the Testing of USB Bluetooth Dongle that how do we check it and the test of this depends on time, file size or what??

Actually I am working in a company who deals with these kind of products so I need to test these all. And I know all others but this damn test is so confusing me. :((

You need to explain this further. But if you have to test these products then you need, as I explained already, a benchmark test utility. Such a utility will send a signal to the external bluetooth device and detect how quickly the signal was received and responded to. Depending on what the external device is, it may send a file of a known size and test how long it takes.

If you can't find such a utilty then your company may need to develop one.
