    High clolesterol levels
My mother has high clolesterol levels, but her HDL and LDL levels always stay in the normal range. How can this be?

Its because the HDL, LDL and triglyceride levels are all added together to come up with a cholesterol level, so it makes no difference how HDL and LDL appear separately.
