I would go back to when my ex boyfriend and I started dating, it was the happiest I had ever been. I would change some of the things I said... and more importantly didn't say =/

"Kitkat22 agrees: Im sorry but seems to me you've accomplished agreat deal. The reason I say that is because you seem to be very intelligent and your quotes are great. I'd say your pretty cool."

Thanks, but umm what quotes? Loly

Honestly? I know it's been said on here before, but I wouldn't change a single minute of my life. Everything that I am is a culmination of what has happened to me. I wouldn't be who I am today if it wasn't for the exact situations that made me, me.

I would love to visit the past and see my Dad again, too. Camping trips, foreign travel, Saturday lunches at the diner, looking at the stars, learning to drive, all of these are memories because of him.

    Great question!

Kitkat22 agrees: I would love to get a chance to tell my Dad, my hero goodbye. It haunts me that I left the room and he died about ten minutes later.
The night that my Dad passed away, I was at the theatre. I was involved in a local community theatre production of Nunsense. This musical had a cast of 6 women; all of these women have become life friends.

Nunsense was the last time I heard my Dad laugh. It was a joy to hear him from the stage - I can still remember it.

But that night - it was a Saturday night - when I left, my Dad was in a coma. He had slipped into the coma late Friday evening and hadn't come out. I went to the show and remember thinking at Intermission that I wanted to call home SO much to find out how he was, but I was afraid that he would have been gone, so I didn't call.

We closed the show, I changed, and hurried home. My Dad was still in a coma. I laid down next to him and just stayed there for a bit, hearing his laboured breathing and knowing that it wouldn't be long. I went into the other room and started writing an email to a friend.

I was half way through the email and I heard my Mom. He had passed on sweetly in his coma. I remember the instant numbness that spread over my entire body. I stayed there, by his side, until they came to take him away. I couldn't watch that, so I went downstairs to play piano.

That was the most amazing moment on the piano... I remember almost feeling his presence while I was playing, telling me that it was going to be OK, that I was going to make it, and that he'd never leave me.

I know what you mean when you feel that you weren't there for him when he passed on. I wish I had stayed by his side a little longer... but I know that your Dad knew - as mine did - that you loved him. Loved him SO much.

"Kitkat22 agrees: Sorry about that! I meant to say you seem very intelligent and caring and I think that says a whole lot about the person you are. Strong people who have overcome many adversities, are the best examples and role models our younger children need today."

    Thank you Kitkat ///u^)

Ha! I really liked this Red, my husband feels the same way about his first wife - why did he let her give him that foot massage on their first date? Why didn't he listen to that little voice in his head saying - 'she's not quite right'. The power of the pouch! (as they say in Oz)

But, if he hadn't met her and divorced her, he wouldn't have gone through a whole range of experiences to be available and meet me.

As Historian Chick so wisely says, the decisions we make are the culminations of who we are now.

I totally agree and I wish I were as intelligent as "Historian Chick". She and Clough are inspirations to me. Remember this we all have kissed a lot of frogs before we found our prince. I have the love of my life to prove that. Thanks so much. The foot massage part is so funny!

I would also learn to do things better, for instance instead of shrugging off learning how to use a computer (until my then job required it) I would listen to every word and be a whiz. Maybe then I would be able to install the spell check for this site.

Use Mozilla Firefox as your browser when you go to AMHD. It has a built-in spell checker. That's why I'm a perfect speller! :)

It was DELIBERATE, I tell you!

(Actually, worse than the spelling mistake is the poor construction of that sentence, but of course that fact went right over your head, didn't it. ;))
