When you changed your ignition control module, did you make sure you got an exact replacement and made sure every wire went back into the same place?

Does the hot surface ignitor light the main burners directly or does it light a pilot light? If the light is glowing red and the gas is flowing, I don't know why it wouldn't light.. when the unit is off make sure the orifices that the gas sprays out of aren't clogged so you get enough gas to ignite. Also sometimes you can adjust how much air gets sucked into the flame, it needs oxygen to burn also.

Thanks. this unit lites main burner directly (no pillot), I found gas pressure at over 4.5 in. reset to 3.5, now it lites, but not as smoothly as I would like to see, someone has replaced the oem ignitor with a w/r nitride ignitor and whlslr. Says this is acceptable.. burners are clean and air adj. is not available on these new style burners. Thanks.

Cool man, also check out the burners right underneath where the flames burn. There should be a little groove in the burner that connects the first flame to the last flame. The ignitor should be off to one side and light the first flame, and then the flame should travel through this little channel to light the next flame, etc. if this is dirty it can cause uneven ignition, try checking that out. Glad you got it working
