Change of status from F-1 to B1 having both visas and w/out going out of the country
I came to the US to study but I had some financial issues that won't let me continue. However I want to stay here for 2 months, I have my tourist visa and I wonder if there is any way that I can change my status without going out of the country. I thought of going either to Canada or Mexico but I need a visa to get into both countries since I am Peruvian, so I am looking for a way to change my status without having to spend much money traveling only to get back in.

If you already have a valid B-1, you must leave and re-enter US as B-1. Change of status while in US can be done only in case you are F-1 but never have B-1/B-2.
