Cleaning linoleum glue from sub floor
I am removing linoleum and replacing with laminate. There are 2 layers of lino with the oldest one leaving glue on the sub floor. Parts of the sub floor have asbestos tile underneath and I was told not to disturb it so I was wondering how to clean the glue from the lino?

Please re-read and re-write your question. You said; "Parts of the sub floor have asbestos tile underneath..." That would mean you have more plywood over what you call asbestos tile. Then you implied you have sheet goods with glue on it. I'm kind of confused.

Somewhere in there should be one or more layers of 1/4" ply which is used to bond vinyl to. Any 1/4" ply or OSB etc. needs to be removed too.

Just for clarity, a subfloor is the layer immediately over the floor joists, any ply above that is an underlayment.

Jasco adhesive remover works great. They sell it at ACE Hardware. If you are putting a laminate floor over why don't you just place your pad over it and install your flooring?
