    Honda CRV 2009 Transmission Issue
Hi everyone! Transmission question. I have a 2009 CRV with automatic tranny and I happen to have to do a ton of parallel parking. Sometimes I got to shifte between park drive and reverse about 30 times or so a day! Is this harmful to the tranny? I have only had this car a couple months, but for the last couple months the tranny has been acting differently. The car will sometimes delay about a second or so going into gear. I can noticebly feel every gear shift even into 4th and 5th. Because I never always know how long the tranny will take to engage. I sometimes let my foot off the brake before it goes into gear. Is this also damaging the tranny? Did I just buy a lemon? Did I mess something up? I tried the dealership and they are no help. Any suggestions?

The best advice I can give you is to change the automatic transmission fluid at least as frequently as Honda recommends. From experience, I only recommend full-synthetic ATF (e.g. Mobil 1 Multi-Vehicle Synthetic ATF) in all modern-day cars and trucks. The difference in transmission performance and longevity is big.
