Harbor Breeze Aero globe removal/bulb replacement
The bulb in my Harbor Breeze Aero ceiling fan recently burned out. This fan was already installed in my home when I purchased it, I do not have the manual, and this is the first time I've had to replace the bulb. I have learned from various sources that I should turn the glass globe counter-clockwise, but I can NOT get it to budge. All I do is turn the entire fan in its bracket in the ceiling. My next step will have to be removing the light from the ceiling and taking it apart. Any suggestions?

Well, I came up with my own solution. I thought it would be great to somehow get a better grip on the glass. My father suggested duct tape but I thought it might be difficult to remove well. We thought maybe hot glue would work. I took two empty Yoplait yogurt cups, put low-temperature glue around the bottoms and stuck them on opposite sides of the globe. They stuck just well enough for me to get a better grip and some good torque on the glass, and it came out just as it was described it should. They also popped back off easily. Your results may vary.
