I don't know if there is any help but here goes. I'm a 63 year old female. I had polio when I was 3 (quite a bit of handicap), married at 21, divorced at 25 (1 child), remarried at 30, widowed at 33. Worked hard and raised my biopolar son, entered a new relationship at 45, physical problems caused use of wheelchair, new partner died when I was 58. Now completely in wheelchair, retired, bored, lonely. Moved to a new town with no friends. Am the last living member of my family except my child and his kids. What can I do to make myself look forward to something, anything.

Give of your time, there will be places where you can be of help, local library, go to nursing homes and read to some of the people. There is always things going on at the senior citizens group in even small towns.
