    Phentermine question
It seems no one has been able to answer the question of how long phentermine stays in your system after you stop taking it. I want to have an elective surgery, and I've heard phentermine can have an adverse reaction with anesthesia. I stopped the medication a couple of days ago and my surgery is weeks away... should I tell the dr if I've already stopped the medication?

First you should ask your doctor if you should stop. You should never stop a medication without consulting your doctor. Phetermine can have witdrawal symptoms and your doctor should be made aware that you have stopped.

As far as the surgery, I could not find anything about it in my books. The best place to go would be to call your pharmacist.

At least with all the surgary I have dealth with you are to meet with the doctor who does the anesthesia several days before surgary. You need to talk to them about any medication you are on, and let them advise you on what you should do.

I would tell the doctor regardless, but I looked it up before because I had to take a drug test and I believe the article stated it stays in your system for about a week.
