Air hammer in hot water - well water
We have a relatively new well, and get plenty of volume (20gpm). However, the water is infused with air and takes a few seconds for the air to perculate out from a water glass. This results in a lot of air in the hot water side only. The cold water side seems to be OK.
We added an expansion tank to the cold side of the hot water heater, which helped for a week or so, then the air came back. Plumber has no idea, well driller suggested another tank to stir the air out due to the volume being OK.
