    Central heating questions
    Hi,
I hope you can give me some professional advice.
I have a pumped heating system wired to y-plan and have 2 problems.
When water and heating is on, water will heat, but when the valve (3 port) should fully change over to heating it sits rocking on micro switch 1 and will not motor over to micro switch 2. If I make micro switch 2, then it motors over and runs heating OK.
Also if I put water on for 1 hour advance, water heats and tank stat switches over to 2. When hour is over hot water switches off on controller, but 240v comes back through HW OFF and so water carries on heating until boiler cuts out on temp setting.
Is my 3 port valve faulty or just needs setting up ?
On Y-Plan do you have to leave water selected all the time ?
    Many Thanks, Mawbs.
