I'm sorry but unless the lease specifically gives you the right to break it then there is no law that allows you to do so. In fact you are in one of the worst states in the country when it comes to breaking a lease.

If you break your lease without some kind of agreement with your landlord then you are responsible for the full amount of the rent until the landlord leases to a new tenant or until your lease expires, whichever is earlier. In most states the landlord is required to make an effort to re-rent the property once a lease is broken. However in Florida the landlord is NOT required to try to re-rent the property. They can sit back and collect the rent from you until the lease expires, whether you live there or not. If you move out and don't pay they can sue you for the rent and they will win.

I suggest that you meet with your landlord and try to work something out. Maybe they will let you out of the lease in return for forfeiting your security deposit. Or they may allow you to find a new tenant to take over your lease.

    Good luck!

Florida is about the worst state, first no you can't break a lease for that reason and if you move out, they can hold you responsible to pay for rent if you move out
