I Have a B&s 10.5 hp manual start vertical engine on a pull beside mower. The number quoted is on the cowl which is breaking paul's almost every time I run the engine. It seems to eat them up as there are plastic shaving in the fly wheel each time I run the engine and need to replace the paul's. Any ideas what causes this?

    Hi,
Those look like the numbers off the EPA tag and mean nothing to me. Are we talking about a commercial walk behind?
I rarely correct spelling, simply post with the correct one(s) but if it is eating up pawls, which side of the pawl is being damaged. My guess is the outside which means they are not retracting as the rewind retracts.
    Peace,
    Clarke

Thanks for the help with the pawl I will change the guide. Also after years of dealing with dyslexia spell check has been a blessing I missed that one. So sorry.
