    What are the disadvantages of cast iron pipes
    I want to know about the disadvantages of using cast iron pipes for water supply purpose.

    First off, why are you asking? Cast Iron's used for drainage and not in home water systems. The pipe's that are used for water supply use are.
    1) Plastic.
    2) Galvanized iron **OR**
    3) Copper
