[Wondering Along]

My Mom read this to me and I loved it! It was a large, flattish book with beautiful illustrations, some that covered entire pages.

In the first story, fairies kidnap a woman to make her bake for them. She keeps sending them back to get her flour, sugar, all the way up to her baby because she loves him, etc. and in the end they are so exhausted that they let her go home. She's too much trouble! LOL!

Another story is about a boy who watches fairies dancing in a fairy ring. He joins them, and they dance up into the sky - I remember an illustration of his feet dancing suspended in the air, I think with one of his shoes falling down to the meadow below.

There were other stories as well. I loved this beautiful storybook - if you know anything about it, or even have a hunch, I would be grateful for any tips you can provide.:)

I don't know the name of the book you are looking for, but the first story is called The Woman Who Flummoxed the Fairies and the second sounds like The Boy Who Wanted More Cheese. I hope this helps.
