Proper way to install washer hose to laundry sink
    Hi,

I'm moving to my new home soon and the plumbing in the basement is worrying me as it is something I have never seen before. Our laundry sink faucet has 2 pipe connections sticking out to the right on top on the same pipe which looks like it is for the washer. There are to closing at the top for hot and cold water. Is this proper way for our builder to do this? Wouldn't this affect the use of water for the sink when we are washing our clothes? I am just concerned that this is an issue and since the other 2 pipes are sticking out if there is water preassure movement then this will make it lose overtime very easily. Is this the proper code to install this for the washer?

    HI Melwah:

Hard to tell what you are describing. If this is a new home, however, I'm betting that the plumber/builder pulled all the appropriate permits and that everything passed inspection, so I figure you don't have to worry too much... ;)

If you get a chance, post a picture to this site and we can give you more information.

    Glad to help...
