My wages were garnished because of a judgement issued against by a collection agency on a debt that was passed the statue of limitations. Can I fight this?

Did you make the argument before the Judgment was issued and it was not accepted by the Court?

Or is this a new defense?

What State and when was the last activity on the account prior to the filing of the papers.

I live in Louisiana. No I never received any notification of a court date. I was served the judgement at work and two weeks later received a notice about the garnishment and they froze my bank accounts. The last time I paid on the account was in August of 2005.
