So, my roommate and her boyfriend refuse to pay their portion of the utility bills
So, my roommate and her boyfriend refuse to pay their portion of the utility bills, tampered with the meter and got a fine added, and have made living in the house unbearable, but since they won't pay their portions of the utility bill, I couldn't get electricity on at a new place and had to relinquish it. Also, I can't find a new place that's open to allow pets, so I have to ship my kitten to my mother in Texas (from Alabama). What all can I include in my lawsuit against them?

Did you get evicted because you were unable to pay the utility bill without their help? That would be the only way you could ask for pet-related expenses.
If you can prove that they agreed to pay the utility bill, and how much, you can recover that, and pay it to the utility company.
So where are you living now?

You of course were responsilbe to pay the bill if they did not, and when you paid that bill, you sue them for their part of the money.
If you can prove they tampered and got more fees, and you have paid those charges you can sue for that also.
You needed to evict old roommates, paid the bills there and stayed actually.
But in court you throw in everything you want, and let the judge decide what he will allow

I am paying the bill now, but when the lights and tampering first occurred I was at home in Texas for the holidays and stuck in the hospital. I didn't find out until after the fact. I couldn't evict them because my landlord wouldn't allow it. He doesn't care as long as the rent gets paid.
But since my reason for not renewing my lease is that they have made living there unbearable, and that is my basis for asking for the pet expenses.

So what right does the landlord have to "not allow" her BF to be evicted? If BF is not on the lease he's subleasing from those who are.

I had rented a house in Egham(greater london) and my contact expires in July 2012. I have lived in that house till dec 2011.. So am I liable to pay for gas and electricity for January onwards also? My agent just called and threatened me to give my address police and all my belongings will be taken... Its bad as it is that I have to pay the house rent, but his is just too much...
What do I do? Please help
