Done plenty of indoor plumbing top to bottom inside my properties, but have been notified the houseline needs replaced. Seems fairly cut and dry. 4' deep, 1" type k soft copper, flared fittings and ball valve at meter. Any pitfalls I should be aware of ?

What location are you in? Double check frost penetration levels before installing four feet deep. My area requires seven foot bury for water, and four foot bury for sewer, but I'm in an area that sees very low temps in the winter.

I talked to the water dept. supervisor
And confirmed 48" depth. No permit necessary unless I pull the sidewalk slab to devil strip (will probably bore it). After completion, a $50.00 fee to have inspector make sure all is good.
