Painting of a lady in a very old gilt frame
My friend Leah gave me this painting. It looks to be painting, as there are marks on the back that indicate strokes of a brush. (I've taken a LOT of art classes, so I can tell.) The frame looks to be very old and gilded. I don't know who this could be or if anyone would have any idea, but I thought I would throw it out there...
Also does anyone know how to clean a gilded frame like this? It's become very dark. I also need to replace the glass... |
