    HI guys.

Well, today is the day that the Christmas displays come down and packed away. Not as much fun as putting them up.

    Well, time to get moving...

EDIT: Well, the inside displays anyway, outside still has about 10 inches of snow and about 4 degrees, I'll wait a bit on those.

Tomorrow's going to be the 50th anniversary of marriage of my grandparents. I should be happy about it... but the thing is that they were not the 'loving and caring' ones I would have liked to have. They're the complete opposite. Were, not to be too harsh, 'mean'.

Well, there's quite a long story going behind it. They had more preference for their daughter and youngest son (my dad was the eldest) and they never really liked my mother. The harshest way they showed it was by giving the company (which was supposed to be for the family) to the youngest son (when my grandfather got a stroke), even if the company worked well thanks to my father's engineering abilities. Nothing was for my father and so, no heritage.

When my father got cancer, I think they felt some remorse. After that, they slowly became like before, even if they're trying to hide it. My grandfather is the worst. He is still handicapped, and as annoying as ever. He always find a way to get you on your nerves by making mean comments.

My grandmother is still trying to 'seem better' by buying a shirt, a suit, trousers and shoes for me and a 'Ki Pao' for my little sister.

Sorry, that was perhaps a little of venting :o

    Hey unky.
Sorry to hear that about your grandparents. Sadly I am sure we all have family members like that. Imagine it your own parents. That's how it is with me. But I don't care really.

You come vent to us any time. You know we are here.

I don't know. In my "world" people get divorced or leave each other lol No one has ever made it to 50 years.. or even 20... I think the longest I know is my sister and her hubs for 10 years... I'm pretty sure they are splitting up though--- they aren't doing so great.

Oh, now I get your point! I was thinking you thought that you thought you missed 50 years when you came back in this thread...

Well, that's Mauritius... things were slower, people took time to know each other (in the past, but now... the trend is becoming the same as in the eastern countries).

Wait, on which one is Stringer? I hope he makes it... what I am saying, he will make it to the 50th anniversary, right?

People usually take everything down about the second week in January in my area Bear. So today inside and when this weather lets up some I will take care of the outside.

My doctor asked me: "How do you feel being 90 years old?"
    I said: "Very surprised!!!"

Old age gives you liberation from the compulsion or urge of setting everyone else straight. I no longer am looking to win every argument.

"Age is what you pay for maturity." ~Tom Stoppard

    Well, I guess that I got a little 'stuck' on this didn't I? :)
