    I saw that. :)

Raw green beans. At first I would chop them up and then add a bit of wet dog food (I usually only give kibble) so that the dogs couldn't pick out the beans. Now they love them and will actually eat them as a snack without anything else. I still add it to the food most times.

As for the oil. I add on tablespoon of oil over 1 1/2 cup of food, then mix. I only use vegetable oil. It really helps their skin. Jasper has very dry skin and in the winter he has a lot of itching and flakes. With the oil in his diet he has no problems at all and it beats expensive creams and pills.

Yep the veggie oil is great, my mom gives that instead of sardines... I stick with the sardines though just because they go crazy for them! :D

And yep I get what you are saying Alty, if the dog had never had meat before I guess it wouldn't know it's missing out on... same with people and chocolate.
I just like to give mine variety though, I mean I enjoy the finer things in life... good chocolate, cold beer, a big juicy steak well done, flake fillets lightly battered... Mmmmm... where was I? Yes, so if I enjoy those little extras in life, even if I don't need them, why can't my dogs? ;)

The dog I used to have when I was a kid loved cheese. I also used to drain the juice (oil/water) from a tunafish can and put it back in the can and give it to the dog as a treat. He loved both.

The first time I put a bit of whipped creame on his nose was a riot to watch him try to lick it off. He wised up fast. He put it on his paw and licked it off his paw.
