Are there reset buttons on Electric furnaces?
I was just wondering if all or most Electric Furnaces (home) have reset buttons and if they do where are they located.

Usually not on electric but you never know for sure.

    Exact brand?
    Exact model?

Trane 4TEC3F48,60 B1000A (installed in May of last year and Furnace stopped working) I replaced the batteries in thermostat and the (really dirty) filters but, it still won't come back on.

Save a copy of these docs to your computer for future reference. BTW Trans and American standard are same model number for model number.

I am having to take a good guess here but first.

Recycle the circuit breakers in the main house panel for the unit. If that does not work

Look for the fuse inside the unit and see if it is good. If not replace with like same.

See page 14 this doc with NOTE 3 about 5 amp for all units.

    Post back with results.

Called the company that installed the unit. A technician came out and checked out the furnace then checked the breakers. One of the breakers was tripped so he turned it on and heat came on and he left. Heat lasted about 5 min. Called them and the tech (to the dispatcher) said that the breaker that was tripped is getting weak so electrician will come today. Hopefully will be warm and toasty soon.

    Thanks for all the help.

Well after a visit from the Tech, Electrician, Tech, Electrician, Tech it was discovered that when installing the heating system they used Aluminum wires instead of copper and the amp the breakers were couldn't handle it or whatever so one kicked off. Both Tech and Electricians came out today and everything is working fine (for now, <crosses fingers and toes). At no cost to us it was all billed to the A/C department cause they were they ones at fault (I guess).

Yes aluminum wire is junk. Gals you got it going and the best part it was free.
