Positive hair test @ waork, is it possible to get doghair mixed in?
Positive hair test taken @ work. I do not and have not smoked in over 14 yrs. I am wondering if it is possible that a hair off a dog could have gotten stuck in sample to provide pos results. Don't know if the test would tell the difference in the different hair(dog to human)? I am grasping at straws here as my job is in jeopardy and I have not done anything!

What dog hair ? From your dog, or someone else's ? It isn't a DNA test, so dog hair wouldn't matter. If you tested positive, then its right

Ask for another test. Samples can become cross-contaminated, mistakes are made, readings are misread, etc.
You also have the option of having another test done at an independent lab, on your own.

So you think that the dog's are out smoking up? That is why it tested positive for marijuana/THB?

I know it sounds lame but really, I do know that my NEW dog was bought in Oregon from a grower so don't know what exposure ie: maybe she ate some, was let go to roam in it- like I said I just don't know

Ask for a second test. I keep asking my employers for a hair test just to see what's left over from the 60s

It happens more frequently than you think, that mistakes are made in drug testing. I would personally be devastated at the prospect of losing my job over a false positive.
Do your homework, and check online for false positive hair follicle testing to start. Also statistical reporting on drug testing errors. The test can be repeated using a more sophisticated test as well.
Tests can be contaminated in many ways, even by passive smoke if you are around users. They can also use hair from another part of your body.
I hope you aggressively challenge this. If you are innocent, a new and possible more sophisticated test should clear it up.

Ask for a second test... I don't think your pet has a secret stash its toking up on when you aren't watching.
