Gas furnace coming on not blowing into house vent pipe getting hot
I just had a company replace my coil for the a/c, in doing so the flexible gas line for the furnace ended up with a pin hole in it. I replace the line today and now the burners for the furnace will come on, but nothing blows into the house. I felt the vent tube going to the roof and burned my hand. Any suggestions?

You wouls start by calling that installerback and telling him to make things right. Something is not right inside your plenum and they should replace the gas line too.

So it could be the plenum even if the a/c is blowing fine?

They service your system and probably knocked something loose or worse when doing so. Call them back or call someone else and back bill them.

Could this also cause the outside compressor to wine? They replaced the entire condenser unit when they did the coil and have already replaced the compressor once and it has only been 1 1/2 months. There is a wine coming from the outside unit again now when it runs.

WOW are you sure these guys know what they are doing? It is very difficult to tell this kind of stuff from long distance but a compressor failure in that short of time is not good. I hope they installed a new liquid and suction line drier to collect all the bad stuff from the first failure. Sorry but there is not much more to say. Good luck.

This company has been in the area for 2 generations. They did install a new line drier at initial install. I do not think I will go back to a Trane. The one we had to replace was 6 years old and this one is only going on 2 months. Can not seem to find a number for TRANE.

I tried my A/C this morning just to see and it is no longer blowing into the house either. The co that did the instulation is coming today at 4. They said they are not sure what it would cost because they do not know if it is something they did.

It is most likely related to something they did or disturbed while working on your furnace. Coincidences are very, very rare. I am still thinking plenum problems
