    Newborns nationality
    Hello my wife has just given birth 2 weeks ago and we got a beautiful baby girl!but we are both different nationalities! she is Polish and I am from Zimbabwe but I have a uk residency family permit through her! But what nationality will our daurghter be?we have asked the midwife and she said their shouldn't be a problem with our daurghter being british is she right?

    My understanding is that place of birth determines nationality.
