How to fix an ejector pump back up systems
I have both a sump pump and ejector pump. They both work, however it seems that groundwater is also seeping into the ejector pump pit causing the pump to go off when nothing else is being used in the house that would activate the pump. Any ideas on how to fix this. Also, do they make a back up pump for an ejector system similar to the backup systems they make for the sump pump. Thanks

Is your Sewer Ejector inside a plastic bucket ? Or is it inside a concrete well ? Did you open the lid and actually see ground water filling up the pit ? Do you have 1 pump or 2 pump system ? Does you pump have built-in float or is it installed with independent mercury floats ?

You can install secondary pump inside the pit that would be independent of the main pump and connect it to the discharge line . But there is really no reason for it. 2" Sewer Ejector pumps are powerful units that can handle both, sewage and clean water.
