    chemical equilibrium
    the equation,
    NH4CO2-2NH3+CO2..
At 25degree celsius, the total pressure of the gases in equilibrium with the solid is 0.116atm. What is the equilibrium constant of the reaction... and if 0.1atm of CO2 is introduced after equilibrium is reached, will the final pressure of CO2 be greater or less than 0.1atm...
I have found the equilibrium constant but don't know how to do the second part... plese what do I do...

What sort of reaction is that! There are missing compounds and there is one which is the first time I see...

    Write your equation well!!

    For the constant, I got 2.31 x 10^(-4).

Now, if you introduce carbon dioxide, the instant pressure due to carbon dioxide will be larger than before. Hence, according to 'le Chatelier's' Principle, the system will try to reduce the pressure. Therefore, the pressure will be less than 0.1 atm but somewhere between 0.039 and 0.1 atm, depending on the amount of carbon dioxide added.

You're welcome. Just try to write in proper English next time, like in your question here.

I'm referring specifically to 'ur' and 'd', OK? :)
