How to get vivitation when mother was married to someone else at the birth of child
I have a friend in Michigan who fathered a child while the mother was married to someone else. I know the husband is legally responsible for child. But they have divorced and my friend wants visitation with his son. The mother won't have anything to do with bio-dad. He tries to contact her and wants to help with his son, but she refuses. Can he force her by the court to have a paternity test and fix the birth certificate and get visitation? The boy has the mother's last name hyphenated with his. Don't understand it. Probably more to the story. Just trying to help a good friend

Looks like he can't challenge it unless it is given up by the current legal father. Its something he should have thought about when cheating with a married woman.

OK, first how long ago was this, ( how old is child) if this is the US, different states have different rules, as to if the bio father can contest and if allowed to , within how many years can they.

Next question during the divorce was the husband orderd to pay child support and does he have visitation.

Your friend has no rights and he cannot get visitation. That's the law in Michigan.
