    Leg stiffening in cat
4-5 mo old male kitten. Started last week with just wanting to be held. Started laying around like he was sore. Still eating and drinking. Seemed better on mon dec22. Came home on 23rd, he ran to meet me. Held on lap and fed a whiskas pouch. Ate almost all of it, jumped down and cleaned himself, then ran off and hid. 15 min later comes out after calling but is staggering. Picked him up. When set back down, he runs toward the kitchen, but he is running to the right staggering. Maybe 10 sec later falls over. Front legs are stiff and he cannot stand or walk. Not crying, is actually purring. Took to vet that night. Had a fever and was given fluids. Been there ever since, they have no clue as to what is wrong. Any ideas helpful.

No. Did blood test for sugar because I asked for it. They don't think he needs test for fip or fl because siblings and parent all healthy. Other cats showing no signs of anything like this. Did ask if possible head injury as I have shelves in my room and they are always playing on them.I thought possibly may have fallen and got hurt when I was not home.

If he cannot stand or walk, they really should be doing x-rays if they have been unable to find anything else.
