    Hello corey:

If you need W2's, you're going to have to go back to the employer who issued them.

So there is no way I can get them online through the IRS? I have already tried that and was told they don't have any records of them anymore.

First of course your companies have lied, while they may not have the copies of the actual W2 they are required to keep payroll records for many years if the IRS aduits them also

You can get copies of your IRS filings.

May I ask what you need them for ?

No you can't and if the IRS told you that why do you think someone else would have a different answer.

How did you prepare your returns? If you used tax software, the files should be sotred on your computer. If you used a tax prepares, they should have the files. If you used an online service, you should be able to find them there.

It's your responsibility to kep your records. The IRS actually should have at least 7 years of records, but not online. You can request copies and if you had paid attention to the sticky notes at the top of this forum, you could have found out how.
