    White rodgers 50a65843
    Control board keeps going bad every 6-10 months.
    Any ideas?
    Trane residential gas furnace- less than 10 years old.

    Make sure the board you are using is the exact board for your unit.

    Some aftermarket boards are not as good as factory original. Carrier just announced that the aftermarket board for there units did not have the relay amp capacity to do the job long term.

    Loose connections or incorrect wiring are a killer of circuit boards. Check to be sure all is tight and grounded well when necessary.

    The W/R boards have a one year guarantee I believe so the board should be free but the labor is no fun when having tom be done every 6 months.

    Note the one year warranty might just apply to authorised HVAC service people and not a home owner if the home owner installed it.

Okay, I'm about to smash this thing up. I fell asleep with the AC turned off earlier and now I wake up and its 77 degrees in here and I'm sweating. So I go turn the AC unit back on, setting it on 75 degrees to start with because I know you aren't supposed to do more than 2 degrees at a time....
