How do people do that, capitalized each word? I am lucky to cap the first word of a sentence!

Both the black and red in the ceiling may be controlled, each from it's own switch. Or the black may be live all the time, and the red is switched.

Using a tester you can determine if these wires are live or switched. The fan white will connect to the white in the box, and the fan black will connect to the wire that is switched.

Or you can connect the white first, and then touch the fan black to both wires, be careful thou, if either of the wires are hot, either because the switch is on or it is hot all the time, the fan will start and knock you off the ladder.

I assume you have a remote controlled fan? If that's the case, you won't really be able to control it from the wall switch, it's meant to be controlled primarily from the remote. However if you do want the fan controlled on the switch, connect white to white and black to red.
