    Mystery drip
In the master bath of newly purchased home, the sink has a Glacier Bay nickel-plated 4" two-handled faucet (HomeDepot.com SKU #247368). It had a slow drip when we moved in. I replaced both the hot and cold cartridges in each handle but still have the same slow drip.

Can anyone tell me what I might have missed or is this just a lost cause?

I don't use Glacier Bay, but a couple of things to look for. Is there a rubber seal down below the cartridges? It could be bad or there could be dirt under or around it. Take the new cartridges out and check that there is no scoring on the sealing surfaces.

Can you tell us if the drip is from the cold or hot side? When you replaced the cartridges did you turn the water back on when you had the valved open to flush out the supplies? EP Miller has a point. You may have some mineral build up that you disturbed when you installed the valve. Open up the valve and flush out the supplies. Good luck, Tom

Just a shot in the dark, but how long does it drip for? Does it constantly drip 24/7, or does it only drip for say a few minutes after water is shut off? If only drips for a few minutes, it may be because some aerators will hold water when not under pressure, so they drip for a minute or two after shutting water off. This most likely isn't what you are experiencing, but if figured I would throw it out there anyway. As far as the glacier bay goes, follow above advice, and if it still drips, I suggest replacing the faucet

I agree with all the above advises, do as they say, but first find out if this is cold/Hot or both, if the problem woud not be fixed I would suggest to replace the cartridge they may be bad from stock, Thanks.

I didn't check for scratches/nicks and I didn't grease. I've replaced cartridges in other brand faucets before that weren't greased as these weren't when I pulled them out and never had a drip problem from those. I really think it just may be that the Hot side doesn't connect up real tight. It took a lot of twisting to get that side to not leak. That it's down to a drip is a mass improvement.

I'm starting to think that the faucet is just junk as the others here and elsewhere have stated. It's certainly not the brand I would've started with.

"Hot side doesn't connect up real tight. " are you talking about the supply pipe or the cartridge? If you have a drip it could be a seal or a nick in the valve body, greasing is standard to all cartridge installation. Greasing increase the chances of a good seal that will last for decades. If it is junk just get yourself a Moen or any other brand with lifetime warranty on parts.
