Sounds like a bad connection. Where is the parking brake? Is it on the dash, where letting it off could disturb wiring to the odometer? I hate working under the dash, and wiring problems can be a pain to find. Sometimes it helps to wiggle the wires around and watch the odometer. The odometer could also be tied to the circuit for the parking brake warning light, using a common ground.

Thank`s Labman I also hate going under the dash. Sounds like the ground wire is the place to start. The brake is on the left side foot brake. Thank you ! Thought it mght be a regular problem for the model.
