Unfair tax interception MN property tax ramsey county
Is it OK that my property tax for renters credit has been intercepted for 2 yrs in arow and the stimulus grant was also taken, this last time they said from ramsey county owing 4oo some dollars, they took 899.00 and no explanation. This being when I was a student and infant child had some day care subsidy, I didn't keep track of receipts properly. They keep on billing me for that amount every month aftyer they took the money and refunded a 25.00 check for interception fee, but don't acknowledge the payment that they took. Must I retain a lawyer to straighten this out? Also I am asingle parent not receiving any child support. He claims he paid for 16 years, not even, plus never bothers to be a father in any way, shape, form, or even spend time or give a gift. Too bad for he doesn't have a dollar to spare his son.

The issue with the child support is a legal issue best addressed on the LAW Forum.

As for the renter's credit, you should first call Ramsey County and make an appointment with their tax department to get the details as to why they took the money.
