    Cold war era movie about a man in a mask?
    I'm trying to find the name of a movie from the sixties or seventies. It's about a scientist who wears a strange mask because he lost his face in an accident. He wants to go back to work for his government, but they are not sure he is who he says he is. The movie progresses through his frustration of trying to prove his identity and loyalty.

    Thanks so much! That is the movie I was thinking about. When I was searching IMdB, it came up in my search results, but I looked at the cover art and didn't think it was it. I looked again after your suggestion and realized it was the movie.

    Now if could find a copy of it...
